Lectio (Isaiah 64:1)

Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence…

God opens up our realities.  And our realities melt in the presence of the ens realissimum (latin: the most real being), God.  When God ‘comes down’ it seems the mountains melt and the world is transformed.  What originally appeared to be roadblocks become new paths.

Holy God.  Open up the worlds we inhabit and create new paths of peace, justice, forgiveness, love, mercy, and faith where there was once roadblocks of indifference.  Amen.
